smoke on the waters....

Here is a nice forward i got.. enjoy..
and hang in there.. i am going to post something good soon..

--------------

A monkey is sitting in a tree, smoking a joint, when
a lizard walks past.
The lizard looks up and says to the monkey "Hey!
what are you doing?"
The monkey says "Smoking a joint, come up and join
me, my cold-blooded friend."
So the lizard climbs up and sits next to the monkey
and they have another joint.
After a while the lizard says his mouth is 'dry',
and that he's going to get a drink from the river.
At the riverbank, the lizard is so stoned that he
leans too far over and falls in.
A Crocodile sees this and swims over to the stoned
lizard, helping him to the side.
He then asks the lizard, "What's the matter with
you?!"
The lizard explains to the crocodile that he was
sitting in the tree, smoking a joint with his new monkey
friend. He then explained how his mouth got dry, and that he
was so wasted that, when he went to get a drink from
the river, he fell in!
The inquisitive crocodile says he has to check this
out. He walks into the jungle and finds the tree
where the monkey is sitting, finishing a joint.
He looks up and says "Hey, MONKEY!"
The Monkey looks down and says "Shiiiit, DUDE....... how much water did you drink?

The Partial NightOut

it was a long time since i watched a tennis match with real interest. in the hey (or hay; i am not sure what to use) days of the "beautiful" steffi graf and the "talented" pete sampras i was a total wimbledon freak watching all the matches and admiring the talents of the players. yesterday was one of the days when i relived those moments. watching the davenport-clijsters (i hope i got the spellings right..i hate misspelling people's names) match was a revelation. the strengths of both the players were on display; davenport with her unflinching serve and clijsters's unbelievable baseline play. in the end the crown (not the rolex crown which is the sponsor of wimbledon) went to davenport. after watching this match, the federer-ferrero match was a real let down leaving the last set where things were a little more interesting. in the end i could a see a hint of sampras in federer which would certainly fuel my interest in his future matches.
the quarters will start today and 16 and 24 are the seeds of the least seeded players in the line-up. certainly a wonderful showdown...... so guys (now officially even gals are refered to as guys) watch wimbledon and enjoy the game. (i hope this blog is sponsored by wimbledon people..:) )

note: the blog is refered to as partial night out coz the matches went into wee hours the night in india.

MS or MBA???

altho the title would look like a serious one to counsel people abt their career choice its not all that. on the contrary its just a nostalgic blog remembering the good old days of my college with my bloddy (a new term - a short for BLOg buDDY).

as u people may not be knowing that me and panti were roomies in our 2nd yr undergrad days. we were very passionate abt our careers and constantly had discussions that frequently ran into wee hours of the night. those days i was a little influenced by my elder brother and decided to study for MBA. i dont know for what reason panti took up MS but then reasons seldom are rational. i passionately took up the IMS series of books and started sifting thru simple interest, ratio and proportion etc. etc. ( when i think of those days i really smile coz i was reading shit..:) ) panti as usual enthu abt english went thru word power made easy (the bible those days in our hostel..but truly a good book). i always tried to convince panti abt how MBA was gr8 and in turn panti tried to sell MS to me. we were unfazed and went ahead with our preparations........that was then.

now after 1,2,3,4,5,6 years i am leaving for US for my MS (that is if maibaap US consulate allows me) and panti is frantically jugading money for his GMAT (hey bloddy needed some masala to add to this :D ). things have changed, priorities have changed. i cannot go into reasons why we both interchanged our moves (strategic career moves...an euphemism nowadays for changing jobs :D ); but then again they are not rational. maybe because we want to something different, or plain we want to earn money; whatever maybe the reason am happy with how things have worked out. and panti i wish u all the best for ur future :)

And here we are after 1,2,3,4,5,6 years ... meet to each other at chandni chowk for coffee and still i try to convince you about MBA and you sell the idea about MS.
Life can be so different isn't it..
I wonder if we can reach to some conslusion....???

weekend that was

Weekend events:
Saturday:

1. Lohagad trek..Was great to happen after such a long break without any excursions in recent past.
Treak .. i should correct myself. It mas more like a 25 km walk than a treak..
My legs were aching like anything at the end of the day.
the person to blame is "gujjad"(I have decided not to put anybody's name in my blog.) I asked him if any chicks are coming for trek and he failed to reply, i got what it ment.

Apart form the no chicks and gujjad coming late to pune station which
resulted in we misiing the 10 o clock local, everything seem to fall in place.

Here are some of the lohagad pics..

2. Sunday: Again after a long break .. went to have a coffee in CCD, FC road.
Although the bastards messed up the Cafe Frappe.. with much more water and coffee in it.... The cute girl sitting in front made up for the rest and the entire coffe experience was a great affair...!!
She was smiling all the time. U need no other reason to feel good, atleast u can say that she is looking at you,And you stand one zillionth chance to gain something out of the overall affair.
But as usual we fail to realise the big "L" bord on our forehead. But why not to forget the "L" bord, Its always there with you, and if you can get some fucking good feeling and happiness by forgetting it for some time then why not.!!
I filled the usual CCD cutomer response kind of form (I don't know why i like to fill it so much),
And left it on the table with my mobile number on it.
When we were leaving the place, We saw the girls shifting to the place we were sitting. May my mobile number rest (in piece) in someones pretty hands :)

Bought a marathi novel "Yugant" by Eravati Karve. Its about her essays on Mahabharata and her study on the same.
The book seems awsome. Read her first essay on Bhisma. It was great.
Will get back to you on this book as soon as i finish it.Best for anyone who is intrested in mahabharata, It is a real good book and i have herd it is translated in english as well. so grab a copy of it ..
